Unclaimed Scholarships?

High school seniors are scrambling to meet deadlines in February for those scholarships, though some say the flood of offers could end up crowding the field and discourage students from applying.

Financial Aid Basics

Do you remember learning your ABCs as a child — that proud day when you finally could sing the “Alphabet Song” all the way through? Once you learned these letters, they became useful tools for you, and odds are that you don’t even have to sing the song anymore to remember them. Well, it’s time to learn a new alphabet, and unfortunately there’s no cute tune to help you remember it. NEW YORK, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ — Turner Construction Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Turner Corporation, the nation’s leading general builder, today announced that its New York City YouthForce 2020 Scholarship Program is accepting college scholarship applications for 2006. As a scholarship recipient, students must maintain a 2.75 grade point average, remain in the same course of study, and complete a four-year summer internship at Turner that begins immediately following the first full year of college. In addition to mentoring these students throughout their college education, Turner extends full-time employment to its scholarship recipients upon graduating from college.
